Minutes of the Meeting of 22 June 2011. The meeting took place in the Public Safety Facility
Community Room, 4 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Commission
present were Rick Atherton, Robert DeCosta, Michael Kopko, and Whiting Willauer. Patricia
Roggeveen was absent. Vice Chairman DeCosta called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

III. NEW BUSINESS
None.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES, WARRANTS AND PENDING CONTRACTS
1. Approval of Minutes of 6 May 2011 at 12:00 PM; 9 May 2011 at 12:45 PM; 25 May 2011 at 6:00
PM. Mr. Kopko moved to approve the minutes as presented; Mr. Willauer seconded. So voted 4-0.
Assistant County Manager Gregg Tivnan noted that he spoke with Assistant Department of Public
Works Director Mohamed Nabulsi about the erosion and road relocation at Sheep Pond Road and
the need for a licensed contractor to undertake the road work. Mr. Tivnan added that the DPW is a
licensed contractor and will commence the temporary road relocation shortly. Mr. Tivnan answered
questions from the Commissioners.
2. Approval of Payroll and Treasury Warrants for June 2011. Mr. Kopko moved to approve the
payroll and treasury warrants for June 2011 as presented; Mr. Atherton seconded. So voted 4-0.
V. OFFICIAL BUSINESS
1. Request for Execution of Deed from County to Town for Lots 1 and 2 on Plan Titled “Plan of
Land in Nantucket, Mass.” dated 10 November 2010, Prepared by Charles W. Hart and Associates
Pursuant to Chapter 138 of the Acts of 2008; Article 64 of 2007 Annual Town Meeting; Article 85 of
2008 Annual Town Meeting. Transportation Planner Mike Burns noted this request is due to the
work done on Milestone Road after last year’s road resurfacing. Mr. Atherton moved to execute the
deed as presented; Mr. Kopko seconded. So voted 4-0.

VII. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:04 PM.
