Minutes of the Meeting of 25 May 2011. The meeting took place in the Public Safety Facility
Community Room, 4 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Commission
present were Rick Atherton, Robert DeCosta, Michael Kopko, Patricia Roggeveen, and Whiting
Willauer. Chairman Roggeveen called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

II. PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
III. NEW BUSINESS
None.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES, WARRANTS AND PENDING CONTRACTS
1. Approval of Minutes of 27 April 2011 at 6:00 PM. The minutes of 27 April 2011 at 6:00 PM were
approved by unanimous consent of the meeting.
2. Approval of Payroll and Treasury Warrants for May 2011. The payroll and treasury warrants for
May 2011 were approved by unanimous consent of the meeting.
V. OFFICIAL BUSINESS
None.
VI. COMMISSIONERS REPORTS/COMMENTS
1. 2011 – 2012 Representative Appointments. Mr. Kopko nominated Mr. DeCosta to be the County
Commission’s representative to the Nantucket Planning and Economic Development Commission
(NP&EDC). Mr. DeCosta declined the nomination. Mr. Atherton offered to continue as the
Commission’s representative to the NP&EDC and was appointed by consensus. Mr. Atherton
noted that Tom Soverino has offered to be the Commission’s representative on the Pilgrim
Resource Conservation and Development Area Council. Mr. Soverino was appointed by
acclimation.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:04 PM.
