Minutes of the Site Visit of 28 April 2010 at 10:00 AM. The site visit took place at the corner of Cliff
Road and Crooked Lane, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Commission present were Rick
Atherton, Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko, and Patricia Roggeveen. Whiting Willauer was absent.
Also present were Planning Director Andrew Vorce, Transportation Planner Mike Burns, Executive
Assistant to the Town Manager Erika Mooney, and Allen Reinhard. Chairman Chadwick called the
site visit to order at 9:58 AM.
Site Visit to View Areas of Taking of Easements for Cliff Road Bicycle Path Extension.
Mr. Vorce reviewed the areas of taking of easements, which stretches from Crooked Lane to
Sherburne Turnpike. Mr. Burns added that the bike path construction will require the relocation of
some utility poles, and that discussion has occurred with some of the abutters about possible
undergrounding of the utilities. A discussion among Board members followed.
The site visit was unanimously adjourned at 10:08 AM.
