HomeMy WebLinkAboutCounty Commission Minutes 07-25-2007_201402051727257285COUNTY COMMISSION Minutes of the Meeting of 25 July 2007 at 6:00 PM. The meeting took place in the Court Room, Town and County Building, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Commission present were Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko, Allen Reinhard and Whiting Willauer. Patricia Roggeveen was absent. Chairman Chadwick called the meeting to order at 6:10 PM following a meeting of the Nantucket Regional Transit Authority Advisory Board. Announcements/Public Comment. None. Approval of Minutes of 27 June 2007 at 6:00 PM. The Commission approved the minutes by unanimous consent. Approval of Payroll and Treasury Warrants for July 2007. The Commission approved the warrants by unanimous consent. Public Hearings 1. Public Hearing to Consider Acceptance of Grant of Bicycle and Pedestrian Easement at 39 Nobadeer Farm Road in Conjunction with Planning Board Conditions (as also accepted by Board of Selectmen on July 11, 2007) Chairman Chadwick opened the public hearing. Attorney Sarah Alger, representing Duane Jones, explained the easements to run to the County and spoke in favor. No one spoke in opposition. Chairman Chadwick closed the public hearing. Mr. Kopko moved to accept the grant of easement at 39 Nobadeer Farm Road as described. Mr. Reinhard seconded. So voted unanimously. Citizen/Departmental Requests 1. Citizen Request for Assent to Land Court Petition No. 16087-C with Regard to Property Located at 17 Nonantum Avenue. Attorney Jeff Stettina, representing Battle Road Company, Inc, spoke in favor of the request. Mr. Kopko moved to assent to the petition as noted in conjunction with a stipulation on record for the property. Mr. Reinhard seconded. So voted unanimously. 2. Citizen Request for Assent to Land Court Petition No. 14029 with Regard to Property Located at 45 Monomoy Road. Attorney Melissa Philbrick spoke on behalf of Donna K. Cooper in favor of the request. Ms. Roggeveen moved to assent to the petition as noted in conjunction with a stipulation on record for the property. Mr. Kopko seconded. So voted unanimously. 3. Citizen Request for Assent to Land Court Petition No. 12576 with Regard to Property Located at 56 Prospect Street. Attorney Jeff Stettina spoke in favor. Ms. Roggeveen moved to assent to the petition as noted in conjunction with a stipulation on record for the property. Mr. Reinhard seconded. So voted unanimously. County Administrator/Commissioner Reports. None. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 PM. Approved the 26th day of September 2007.
