NEW BUSINESS: CPC COMMUNITY OUTREACH
1. Establish a Nantucket CPC Website
Include board members, project/pictures, procedures
and policies
2. Create Events: …..Have to be there!!!
Tie-In Tours/ Showcase/ Ribbon Cutting
i.e.: first game on new fields, dedication of
renovated Church
3. Issue Press Releases
Routinely submit project details to newspaper,
status updates
i.e.: contract just signed for fields
4. Signage Placed on the site of Major projects
Produce CPC sign
i.e.: "Project Funded by your Community
Preservation Committee….Working with you for a Better
Nantucket …..Your tax Dollars at Work"
5. CPC Board members report to their Committees
Routinely advise/report to the various boards the
issues/status of CPC
6. Engage Community
V. Build a sense of Pride. Establish partnerships…
work with an intern/ tech student from NHS
VI. OTHER BUSINESS: START THINKING ABOUT OUR PUBLIC FORUM!!!!e
