Community Preservation Committee

PRESENT: Ken Beaugrand, Richard Brannigan, Mark Voigt, Clark
Whitcomb, Maria Zodda.
CALL TO ORDER: At 3:20
APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Unanimous
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Of December 14, ’11 Carries 4-1 with R.
Brannigan opposed. For clarification, not objecting to the
accuracy of the minutes, however, opposed to some content.
CORRESPONDENCE: Mr. Brannigan reviewed the letter sent 1-6-’11
to N Magazine, pertaining to the South Church Preservation Fund.
The article in the winter edition of N failed to mention the CPC
as a major contributor for this project.
Mr. Beaugrand reminded all of the Southeastern MA Conference on
the CPA to be held Saturday 4-2-’11 in Bridgewater. Conference
schedule was circulated.
GUESTS: Dave Larravee introduced as P&R vice chair. It was
mentioned he will be the new rep from P&R to the CPC as Maria
Zodda is stepping down in June. Susan Witte, observer
FUND REQUISITIONS: Motion made and carried unanimous to pay all
requests for payments

OLD BUSINESS: Mr. Brannigan reviewed NHSC. BOS have agreed to
sign the lease!!!! Site control now achieved. Board is meeting
1-20-’11 to discuss next steps going forward.
NEW BUSINESS: 1. State Ethics Memo discussed. Acknowledgement
needs be signed and returned to E. Mooney within 10 days. All
need to take on line test annually.
2. Two new warrants have been submitted to the
BOS for the CPC. These pertain to the AHTF.
3. Draft By-Law amendment presented by Mr.
Beaugrand. Proposed warrant article to revise CPC was discussed
at length. Motion made by Mr. Voigt, seconded by Ms Zodda
carried unanimous to submit Mr. Beaugrand’s response to Town
Manager by 1-21-11, with the suggested changes.
OTHER BUSINESS: NEXT REGULAR MEETING CHANGED DUE TO SCHEDULING
CONFLICTS.

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 8,
2011 at 3:15 at 37 Washington St, Conference Room,
Nantucket, MA.
