MEETING MINUTES
COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Tuesday June 21, 2011 3:15PM
Community Room of the Public Safety Building, 1st Floor

PRESENT: Ken Beaugrand, Richard Brannigan, Mark Voigt, Maria Zodda, and Channing
Moore
CALL TO ORDER: 3:15 PM
APPROVAL OF AGENDA: After the addition of the AHTF request for $14,869 the agenda
was approved
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 17, 2011; Motion to approve by Mr. Voigt and seconded
by Mr. Brannigan, unanimous vote followed. Mr. Brannigan asked if the minutes of the
special meeting on March 29, 2011 were ever approved. Mr. Richen was left to
investigate. After investigating Mr. Richen found that the special meeting minutes were
not approved and the request for approval of the March 29th special meeting will be put
on the agenda for July 19, 2011.
CORRESPONDENCE:

Mr. Voigt requested the following information sent to the CPC members so that they may
have time to read it prior to meeting with Ms Witte at our next meeting on July 19, 2011.
The request was fulfilled by Mr. Richen and these are items sent: Maria Zodda to Susan
Witte, RE: $60,000 AHTF (2/9/11); Maria Zodda to Susan Witte, RE: Unspent funds
regarding the Easton Street Move, AHTF (5/16/11); Maria Zodda to Susan Witte, RE:
Easton Street house move, AHTF (6/2/11); Susan Witte to Ken Beaugrand, RE: Easton
Street house move, AHTH (6/3/11);

At Mr. Voigt’s request a copy of this proposal was sent to the members of the CPC so
that they can determine if this letter falls within the purview of their grant request. It was
determined at this meeting that the committee will make their determination and get back
to Mr. Richen, in the office, so that he may write the letter confirming the availability of
the funds requested (TON office of the Town & County Clerk: Letter of the guarantee of
funds needed from the CPC to go forward with the purchase of equipment for upgrading

GUEST: Susan Witte, AHTF requested to postponed until July 19, 2011 meeting
FUND REQUISITIONS: A motion was made by Mr. Voigt and seconded by Mr. Brannigan
to pay all the fund request from A-H and it was carried with Mr. Beaugrand abstaining on
item D.

OLD BUSINESS:
CPC Outreach was discussed by Mr. Brannigan in details. He encouraged the members to
speak to their various projects contact persons about signage at the various sites, i.e.
“Your Tax Dollars At Work”
NEW BUSINESS:
The Public Forum will be held following our regular meeting on August 16, 2011 in the
Community Room of the Public Safety Building at 4 Fairgrounds Road from 4:30-6PM.
It was determined that the deadline for submission for Fiscal Year 2013 will be 4PM
Friday, September 16, 2011 at the CPC office on 14 Easy Street, 2nd floor. Mr. Brannigan
spoke on going forward with the public relations for this year’s forum. It was discussed
that we should try to get some speakers from A. The Greater Light Project, B. The
Unitarian Church, C. The Nobadeer Playfield Project, D. Nantucket Atheneum
Digitization Project, and E. Gisele Gauthier of the Housing Assistance Corporation.
OTHER BUSINESS:
ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn by Ms Zodda and seconded by Mr. Brannigan. The
meeting adjourned at 4:35PM.
The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Community
Room of the Public Safety Building located on 1st floor at 4 Fairgrounds Road,
Nantucket, MA.
