Update
Pacific National Bank
Ms. McDonough discussed the status of Pacific National and their accessible
entrance sign. She informed the Commission that a bronze sign was installed
and the members viewed a picture of the sign installed on the bank. Ms.
Rezendes mentioned that people with sight impairments have difficulty
noticing signs that blend in with the background. She was wondering if there
is a law that mandates highly contrasting colors for signage?
Ms. Topham informed the Commission that the Boy’s and Girl’s Club are
working on the parking area where the disabled parking spaces are located.
The Commission believes that the elevators in the SSA vessels could serve the
public better if the interior of the elevators had proper signage directing you to
the different levels of the vessel.
Ms. Topham will follow up on the Boys and Girls Club parking lot.
Ms. McDonough will contact the DOJ concerning the post office door.
Ms. McDonough will contact Jamie Cooke at the hospital about contrasting
paint for the parking space curbs.
