To the Constables of the Town of Nantucket:
GREETING:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and
warn the inhabitants of the Town of Nantucket qualified to vote in Town affairs to go to the
Nantucket High School at 10 Surfside Road in said Nantucket, on
TUESDAY, THE TWENTY-EIGHTH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2017 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM
for the following purpose:
To cast their votes as “YES” or “NO” on the following ballot question:
QUESTION 1
Shall the Town of Nantucket be allowed to exempt from the provisions of Proposition Two and One-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued to supplement the previous appropriations made under Article 11 of the 2015 Annual Town Meeting and Article 5
of the November 9, 2015 Special Town Meeting to pay costs for constructing a new fire station at 4 Fairgrounds Road, including the costs of professional services for design, permitting,
architecture, construction supervision, and other related professional services and any other costs incidental and related thereto?

Pursuant to Chapter 39, section 10 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth and the Warrant
of September 27, 2017 I have notified and warned the inhabitants of the Town of Nantucket
qualified to vote in Town affairs to appear at the times and place and for the purposes within
mentioned by posting said notification on __________________ at the Stop & Shop on
Pleasant Street, the Town and County Building at 16 Broad Street; and upon the Bulletin
Boards at the corner of Main and Federal Streets, and Siasconset Square.
