her.

Concerns (4:36) Oliver — Without the spacer bar, the windows will look weird; at night the light is oddly dispersed. She feels there was mis-
information being thrown around at the last meeting on the view factor. As there are other things that can be done off -set
this, we have to be careful where we go with this.
McLaughlin — No comments at this time.
Camp — She wants the windows to remain as approved.
Pohl —The issue is no spacer bar; getting rid of the spacer bar changes the view value but the value is de minimi.. You can
off -set the energy requirements by doing something else to the building. We could rule it's far enough off the road so as
not to change the appearance.

With the no -visibility caveat, this should be okay.
McLaughlin — No comments.

Commission Comments
• Welch — Asked that the Organizational agenda list a discussion on the use of synthetic materials.
Camp — Wants to view properties using some synthetic materials and see what they look like.
Pohl — We had the presentation, but we didn't vote on use of synthetic materials.
• Welch — Asked that staff send to the Commissioners pertinent information for commissioners to prep for a
special joint meeting with the Planning Board to discuss matters of mutual importance and how we can work
together to make things happen and a brief discussion on the how the HDC might participate in the upcoming
Master Plan. The meeting will be prior to the Organizational Meeting.
Pohl — This joint meeting is at the Planning Board's request.
Welch — If necessary for broad discussion, add a bullet point to the agenda; it can be titled General Discussion
of Policies, Guidelines, and Bylaws; it would have been good for information to go out to Members well in
advance of the meeting.
