Ibid onAs a result of the bid in June of 2016, the Work Group was established to review the project program and process to date. After review of the project to date and the decision to NOT change the existing design program, the Work Group charged the project team with two (2) tasks:1. Redesign the HVAC system from a geothermal system, connected to the existing Police Station, to a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system; and2. The Vertex Companies, Inc.Next Steps5•Bid the project in Fall of 2017 or the Spring of 2018?•Costs still escalating at approximately 10% per year•International Building Code (IBC) will be changing in June 2017; six‐month grace period for projects in design or bidding•Spring of 2018 Bid will likely require additional redesign for compliance with new code
