Estimated Template loss: Using geometric calculations based on the dimensions of the exposed
geotubes, it is estimated that approximately 2.0 cy/linear feet of sand
was contributed from the structure during the storm (1950 LF x 2.0 cy
= 3900 cy).
Estimated Adjacent Bluff Loss:
Approximately 3 feet north and south of the project.
Estimated Beach Level in Front of
the Seaward Geotextile Tube:
Bottom of the first geotube (approximately +/- 1 MLW).
Location(s) of Exposed
Geotextile:
The entire length of the second and third tier, the southern and
northern returns and approximately 100 feet of the 4th tier were
exposed.
Need for Repair? None.
Condition of Ends/ Observations
of Flanking?
None noted.
Proposed Template Action (Re-
grade and/or Replenish):
Deliver sand to replenish and regrade.
