2019 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
The following is a summary of the articles called and discussed, and the votes taken by the 2019 Annual Town Meeting held at the Nantucket High School, Mary P. Walker Auditorium, 10 Surfside Road, on April 1, 2019.
Monday, April 1 , 2019 – Meeting called to order at 6:13 PM. Out of 8989 registered voters, there were 625 voters present at the start of the meeting. Ultimately, 777 voters were in
attendance. The Girl Scouts presented the colors and Bell Ringer, Bobby Planzer, led the Pledge of
Allegiance and the National Anthem. A moment of silence was held for long-time Town Clerk, Catherine Flanagan Stover who passed
away in 2018.
State Representative Dylan Fernandes was introduced and offered a few comments to the ATM
Voters.
Voters were given blue wristbands, and consultants were given green wristbands. Non-voters were admitted to the Auditorium anteroom, and the proceedings live-streamed by Channel 18.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 10:16 p.m. on Monday April 1st, after Article 34.
The Annual Town Meeting was again called to order at 6:11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2nd. At that time there were 307 voters present. By approximately 7:45, there were 327 voters present.
Voters were given purple wristbands, non-voters & consultants were given green wristbands. Non-Voters were admitted to the anteroom. Channel 18 continued live-streaming. ******************************************************************************************************
