Walker Auditorium, 10 Surfside Road, on April 5, 2014. Nantucket High School Senior James Roggeveen was the official Time Keeper. James has been a loyal and dedicated worker at all our Annual and Special Town Meetings throughout his entire high school career. We are inordinately proud of him, and we rejoice in his Early Acceptance to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In recognition, James was presented with two gift certificates. (THANK YOU, JAMES!) Saturday, April 5, 2014 – Meeting called to order at 9:06 AM. At the close of Voter Registration, there were 8494 voters. There were 349 registered voters when the meeting was called to order. There were 370 voters present at the first counted vote. Ultimately, 478 registered voters were in attendance. At 4:07 PM, Moderator Alger recognized Rick Atherton, Chair of the Board of Selectmen, who moved to dissolve the 2014 Annual Town Meeting. The motion was seconded, and adopted by Unanimous Voice Vote.
