Minutes of Visitor Services Advisory Committee Meeting
Tuesday, June 19, 2007
Land Bank Conference Room
In attendance: Kate Hamilton, Director, David Sharpe, Office Administrator,
Kevin Dugan, Assistant Administrator, Charles Balas, Toby Greenberg, Michelle
Langlois and Gene Mahon.
Kate called the meeting to order at 2:05pm.
Charles recommended that we establish the third Tuesday of each month at
3:00pm as the official time and date of the monthly meeting. All those in attendance
were in agreement. Therefore the next meeting will be held on July 17, 2007, and will
include the newly appointed Committee members.
David did the update on number of visitors, phone calls, etc. Charles requested
that in the future only the percentage amounts should be reported rather than the actual
numbers themselves.
Kate brought up the subject of the bathrooms. We discussed the repairs and
updates we are currently planning including new soap dispensers, new locks on the stall
doors, etc. It was also further stated that the toilets, etc. are in bad shape and will be in
need of replacement in the not to distant future.
Kate reported on the annual “Do The Ride Thing” event. The drawing was held
today and 16 prizes were distributed to lucky entrants. It was also announced that buses
will be available for the fireworks this year and that ads will be placed in the Inquirer &
Mirror to advise the public. Kate also stated that we have already started selling the
Secret Garden calendars to benefit the hospital.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:45pm.
