Dylan Wallace – Chair 2. Morgan Beryl - Secretary 3. Amy Zelinski 4. Danny Baird 5. Campbell Sutton 6. Dane DeCarlo – Not present 7. Steve Slosek – Not present • Dylan Calls meeting to order • Approval of Minutes: o Amy motions to accept minutes from previous meeting (9/20/2011) o Campbell Seconds the motion o All Accept • Survey: o Review of survey data o 14 survey’s in total o Goal of 51% was reached o Commission to continue to conduct outreach and receive surveys o Deadline for current survey is November 16th, 2011. o Send out results to all who filled out survey – stuff envelopes at next meeting. o Ag Com want’s to put survey on Town website o Ag Com would like to survey the community bi-annually. o Send out paper results to Ag community, if possible. o Create Press release re: results and send to I & M – Morgan and Amy to create for review at next meeting. o Dylan revised Ag Community contact list and will contact new additions to list. o Group discusses whether or not Aquaculture should be on Ag Comm. list.  Group decides to take Salty Balls Seafood off the list because they are distributers.  Farmers are added, such as Simon (not sure of last name) • Workshops: o Discussion of working with other groups on the island to plan agriculturally minded workshops. • Right to Farm Bill: o Personalizing the Bill for Nantucket’s needs o Creating protocols for conflict resolution o Morgan met with Cormac: 2  Ag exemptions do currently exist as a “right to use” by-law  Cormac suggests contacting zoning to check what the “right to use” actually says.  He agrees that a conflict resolution portion is very important to create  He also suggests to contact Andrew Vorst – Planning Director • Dylan has conducted research re: grants o Perhaps survey should include more statistical information so we are more applicable for grants o Receiving a grant to create brochure may be possible. • Work Plan Review: o Group reviews the work plan and makes changes o Dylan to finalize during break for final vote next meeting o Dylan will write cover letter to go with work plan to be submitted to Town. • Next meeting: o November 17th, 2011 o 7pm – Bartlett’s • Dylan Calls the meeting to a close.
