Meeting: Monday, May 21, 2012 at 4:00 PM in the Great Hall at the Atheneum

1) RPF/IFB:
The Committee discussed the mosquito treatment contract. Kara and Sarah have
met with Bruce Perry about the treatment. Laurentide will be starting in the next week to
test for mosquitoes. Kara noted that she has sent the letter to the non-profit property
owners to allow the Town to treat mosquito breeding areas. The Land Bank,
Conservation Foundation, Trustees of the Reservation, Madaket Land Trust and Audubon
were sent letters. Audubon has responded that they will not allow treatment.
Discussion also continued on the next RFP for someone (entomologist) to set up
the Mosquito Control program. Helene has sent copies of job descriptions for
entomologists.
2) Legislation:
There was no discussion on this item.
The minutes from the last meeting April 30, 2012 were approved.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:20 pm.
Next meeting is June 11, 2012 at 3pm in the Town Hall conference room.
