APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Unanimously approved.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The April 4 and April 18, 2017 minutes were approved.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
May 16 meeting - location not certain at this time.
Election of Officers continued because two members absent.

REPORTS

O_ LD BUSINESS
Green Crabs - Chairman's draft letter reviewed and comments made:
Gullicksen thought letter pre- mature until Board had more information; Lowell
reported that topic had been addressed at last NSA meeting; McClure reported
that NLC pursuing study of population with Maria Mitchell Association. Kuntz
agreed to gather more information about other Cape Communities programs;
resolved to gather more information and then present letter in person at
Selectman's meeting.
Eelgrass Enhancement and Dredging - Kuntz stated hope that more can be
done; Lowell reported that NSA discussed need to release Hydrogen Sulfide
from bottom to9 enhance growth.
Other Environmental Topics - McClure presented report of environmental
topics discussed at NLC meeting (see attached memo).
Gr ywater - Lowell reported on comments at last NSA meeting; more study
needed; need more signage on docking areas and creative use of digitaVinternet
for notice to boaters.
NEW BUSINESS
Environmentally Friendly Moorings - Gullicksen reported on recent meeting
with Harbor Master and Dept. of Natural Resources about alternative mooring
systems: Waiting for vendor to visit to discuss new system using pyramid
mooring and elastic cord (ten feet in length that stretches 50% under load) to
reduce scope needed and to eliminate chain. Resolved to contact Harbor Master
about follow -up and pilot program.
