Walter Psission requested a soft drink and Ice cream pezm~it, renewal ,and the same was OKd. He also asked that a No parking sign ~be painted on the curb 'opposite his ~rear entrance so that trucks ~bringing frt;~ might have a plaee to'~park. After some discussion it was felt that this was to'congested an area for this~to,be ~done and it was suggested that if he could obtain permission to open a gate at the rear of,his property, we would Ok a small no parking sign 'just large enough to allow trucks~ to enter. Mr~.~Ke'nt K'ing'~equest'edthat-a full stop sign be Placed at the intersection of Liberty~and gardner streets. After discussing~the matter'it was,voted to,instruct the Supt of streets to have a, caution ~sign painted and also a cross walk. ~, ~ Mrs Irwin Chase was granted a ~mit for a Sq. dance at Bennett Hall on 28 May. The community players were granted, a p~Emit to drop ~leaflets fr'om a plane over town. m~Charle~ Fisher~ asked the board to hav~ ~a ~sign Placed at the~ inter- section of his property and the new road now being constructed so as to minimize~the danger to hi s~property, this matter was referre~ to the Supt.~ of streets.'~ ~ Richard'~ Eldri~ge was~ granted a Juke Bo:~ per~it at his place of business in Siasconset. Ray, Morris~was gra'~d a'nenewal of his pistol permit.. ~,~ /-'A CJ~nPalint as' to the ~condition ~0f Cato lane was referred to the Supt. of streets.~ ~ 1~ It was~voted b0~hsve Hin~kley Lane h~d s~rfaCed in accordance' ~with the vote of the town. ~ ~ -.- ,~,~ ~ -.
