The meeting came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board' : , being:present.
Warrant No. 43, totalling'S23,264.54 was'p~esented by Town Acct. Barrett"and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Donald VonCamPen was pr'esent and was 'granted a permit in behalf
of,~a local pistol club to have Sunday shoots under the super-
vision of range officer Paul Frye at their range off the
Polpis Rd. '
At thee reques% of Shelifish Warden'Francis the press was requeste
to insert a note in the selectmens notes to the~eff~ct that
the Quahogs in Polpis were from contanimated stock and any
scallop fisherman getting any. in their.dredges should return
them to the water. , ~- ~, ~
A letter was received from Messers Al. Brock and Irving T.
Bartlett in behalf of the Boy Scouts requesting a light
in the back hall and lower stairway and it was voted to
obtain an est. of the cost of same.
Planned Playtime~ was giVen approval to sponser the well child 'clinin on Nov. 6th and 7th. .~: ~
A letter was received from the Tree Commf advising that they ".
could not'take on the job of moving'some of the shrubs at
the Vet. memorial. Mr. Pease was appointed a committee.of
one to determine what this .Might be done for with a local
gardner., ~ ' .. ~ '~ ~':
The Board approved~and Signed the official warrant for the state election on Tues. Nov. 6th 1962.
It was'voted to r~e'quest the i0cal-c.' D.-Dir. 'to meet with us
next week to report on the activities'of the C.D. ~
A letter Was received from the Town Treasurer'requesting auth°rit
to purchase a small gas'heater for her,office the present, ",
one being an open flame type,and not approved or' satisfactor~
Est. Cost.~ 115.00 same was.voted approved.
N.E.Tel.and Tel was granted a permit to lay an underground cable under Harbor Vier~Way. '~ ~ ' '~ -'? '~ ~,
