Glidden 3(If not owner or owner's attorney, enclose proof of authority) A EXHIBIT A Manager's apartment (two bedrooms) is being moved to rooms 117 and 118 (these are two rooms each with a kitchenette) . Seating area for restaurant and lobby is being expanded and meeting room of 1200 square feet will be built in area that was formerly the manager's apartment and room no. 119. We have a net loss of three rental rooms (two with kitchens) and the gain is a larger lobby /restaurant area and a meeting room of 1200 square feet. The only additional ground cover is 250 square feet plus or minus, which is the result of enclosing a roofed walk area. Restaurants, hotels and motels are permitted by Special Permit in Limited - Commercial Districts Ch.139 -11 B(5). Beachside Motel has a valid special permit and we need a new special permit for these modifications. The Motel has 96 existing parking spaces. We are losing three rental units and adding 1200 square feet of meeting room. If we are certified for 125 people in said meeting room, we need 42 additional parking spaces. Therefore, a variance from Ch. 139 - 18I, parking requirements of 39 spaces is needed from the Board.
