The plan submitted by the Applicant specifically shows that the access driveway to the new dormitory is to be gravelled and that the eleven parking spaces are to be undeveloped, grass spaces. It is my recollection that the Board was ameneble to this setup; therefore, I would like the decision to accurately reflect the relief granted. Please call with any questions or concerns. The applicant is seeking a Special Permit pursuant to Section 139 -30A to permit one employee dormitory to be constructed and to permit an existing dormitory to be expanded in accordance with Section 139 -22H of the Nantucket Zoning Code. Applicant operates the private golf club on the approximately 137 acre site as a pre- existing, non - conforming use in the Limited Use General -3 zone. Applicant proposes to build one dormitory for men that sleeps fourteen employees, pursuant to the enclosed plans, and to expand an existing four -man dormitory known as the "Bug House" to sleep ten employees. (A site plan showing the expansion is enclosed.) The Town has encouraged employers to provide on -site housing for their seasonal employees through the employer dormitory provisions of the Zoning Code. The new structure and addition planned for this site are harmonious with all dimensional and intensity regulations of the Code as well as the Code's general purpose and intent. chc #68
