GILES Board of Appeals File No. 0q-89 seeking a reversal of the August 15, 1989 decision of the acting Building Commissioner denying Applicants a building permit for a 12' x 13.5' one -story addition in place of the southeasterly corner of an existing deck across the rear of their principal dwelling, the denial being based on the resulting loss of front -to -rear spacing between that dwelling and their garage apartment, now spaced about 11' with 12' required by Section 139 -7A(3) for detached garage apartments. Alternatively, Applicants seek a variance from that Section to allow such addition without any front -to -rear spacing.
