TOWN OF NANTUCKET (063 -88) seeking a VARIANCE from the 30 -foot
height restriction of SECTION 139 -21 to allow relocation of the Cyrus
Pierce School to the 5 -acre site without reducing its present height
or changing its historic appearance in such respect. Alternatively,
a SPECIAL PERMIT under SECTION 139 -33A. The premises are located at
7 SURFSIDE ROAD AT MIACOMET ROAD, Assessor's Parcel 67 -345, Plan
Book 14, Page 32, Lots 222 -232, zoned LIMITED USE GENERAL -2 with

Request variance fr m 139 -21 height limitations to allow a structure over
30' to be placed on the site,or alternatively, a special permit under
139 -33, pre-existing nonconforming structures to allow relocation of the
Cyrus Peirce School to the site as indicated. This building, as a
contributing historic structure, must be relocated in the very near
future to make way for construction of the new high school. This site
is the onlv feasibli location available for this relocation.
