A Public Hearing of the BOARD OF APPEALS will be held on
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1988 at 1:30 p.m. in the TOWN AND COUNTY
BUILDING, FEDERAL AND BROAD STREETS, NANTUCKET, on the Applica-
tion of MICHAEL BLOOMBERG (017 -88) seeking a VARIANCE from the
SECTION 139 -16A requirement of a 30 -foot front -yard setback to
allow relocation of an existing single - family residence from near
the blufffo =not less than 11 feet from the Baxter Road street
line at the entry steps, with the front building line set back
20 -feet. The premises are loated at 115 BAXTER ROAD, SIASCONSET,
Assessor's Parcel 42.3.1 -164, Plan Book 16, Page 73 and zoned
RESIDENTIAL -2.

a significant hardship and the granting of such relief will not
derogate from the intent of the zoning by -law.

RE: Michael Bloomberg Variance Application

Siasconset, Massachusetts 02564
Dear Chairman Sherman:
Enclosed herewith for filing on behalf of my
client, Michael Bloomberg, are original variance
application, copy of locus plan, copies of proposed
relocation plans, copy of the deed, and my filing fee
check in the sum of $150.00 made payable to "Town of
Nantucket." I will forward the certified list of
abutters and mailing labels to you next week, when I
receive the certified list from the Town Assessor.
The basis for this variance application is that
Mr. Bloomberg's property is bounded on its easterly
side by the Sconset bluff and there is a severe
erosion problem which requires the relocation of the
existing dwelling into the thirty foot frontyard
setback area. The proposed relocation would site the

dwelling twenty feet from the westerly (front)
boundary line.
Please schedule this matter for hearing at the
next available Board of Appeals meeting. Thank you
