OF APPEALS which has this day been filed with the Town
Clerk.
Any appeal from this action shall be made pursuant to
Section 17 of Chapter 40A of the General Laws, and shall
be filed within twenty (20) days after this date.

DECISION:
At a Public Hearing of the BOARD OF APPEALS held on FRIDAY, APRIL
4, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. in the Town and County Building, Nantucket, in the
matter of the Application of FRANCES M. PERELMAN (032 -86) address Box 121,
Nantucket, MA 02554, the Board enters the following Decision and makes the
following findings:
1. Applicant seek a SPECIAL PERMIT under Zoning By -Law SECTION
139 -7C to install an Accessory Apartment in their existing single - family
residence. The premises are located at 65 VESTAL STREET EXTENSION, Asses-
sor's Parcel 41 -59.1, and zoned RESIDENTIAL -2.
2. Based upon the Application papers and presentation at our hear-
ing, we find that Applicant would install the accessory apartment entirely
within the existing two -story northerly extension of their dwelling. All
of the requirements of Section 139 -7C would be met to the satisfaction of
the Building Inspector. The Planning Board favors the accessory apartment,
as do we, and no opposition was heard. The floor plans are in our record
in support of the proposed 708 SF out of dwelling total of 1770 SF.
3. Accordingly, we find that the requested relief would be in har-
mony with the general purpose and intent of the zoning chapter.
4. By UNANIMOUS vote, this Board GRANTS to Applicants the requested
relief by SPECIAL PERMIT.
