Siherman, Chairman BOARD OF APPEALS TOWN OF NANTUCKET NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS U25'=+ DECISION: At a Public Hearing of the BOARD OF APPEALS held on FRIDAY, NOV- EMBER 229 1985 at 1:30 p.m. in the Town and County Building, Nantucket, in the matter of the Application of MARY LOU THOMPSON (101 -85)9 address 11 Bear Street, Nantucket, MA 02554, the Board finds: 1. Applicant seeks a SPECIAL PERMIT under Zoning By -Law SECTION 139 -7 (c) to install an Accessory Apartment in her single - family home. The property is located at 11 BEAR STREET, Assessor's Map 55, Parcel 382, Lot 2 on Page 65 of Plan Book 17, in the RESIDENTIAL -1 zoning district. 2. Based upon the Application papers, testimony, letter and repre- sentations, we find that Applicant now has only one dwelling unit on the property, her single- family dwelling. She proposes installing a kitchen to form, with a bedroom and bath, an Accessory Apartment of about 401 SF. Th apartment is intended for year -round use of her daughter. 3. Applicant undertakes fully to comply with all the provisions of Section 139 -7C, including provision of a second off - street parking space and execution of the deed restriction of subsection (g) with affi- davit prior to occupancy permit limiting occupancy to natural persons domiciled year -round in Nantucket and not seasonal. 4. No opposition was heard. The Planning Board's recommendation is favorable. 5. Accordingly, this Board by UNANIMOUS vote, GRANTS to Applicant a SPECIAL PERMIT to install an Accessory Apartment strictly in accordance with Section 139 -7C in its structure and use.
