Cahoon, Chairman TOWN OF NANTUCKET BOARD OF APPEALS NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS 02554 DECISION: At a Meeting of the BOARD OF APPEALS held on NOVEMBER 30, 1984 at 1:30 p.m. in the Town and County Building, Nantucket, in the matter of the Application of NANTUCKET MEMORIAL AIRPORT (OWNER /LESSOR) /CHRIS- TOPHER E. WALTON d /b /a STOW -IT- MINI - WAREHOUSES, INC. (LESSEE), (092 -84), the Board finds: 1. This is an Application for a SPECIAL PERMIT requesting relief pursuant to SECTION 4 C 2c (2) (permitted uses - exceptions, storage and warehousing) of the Zoning By -Law for the property located in a RESI- DENTIAL- COMMERCIAL District. If granted, the Applicant proposes to use the site for a maximum of 160 individual warehouse or storage units contained in four buildings to be rented to the public. In addition, one residen- tial unit shall be located on the leased premises. No hazardous materials shall be stored on the premises. 2. Based upon a review of the Application, supporting documenta- tion, plans, testimony and knowledge of the site, the Board finds that the use of the premises for the above commercial purposes sought by Special Permit relief 1s in harmony with the general purposes and intent of the Zoning By -Law and the relief may be granted without substantial detriment to the Public Good and without nullifying or derogating from the intent or purpose of the By -Law. The Board further finds that the intended use will not be in violation of aECTION 6D of the Zoning By -Law. Further the Board feels that the use would be in harmony with the sur- rounding area of the Airport. Applicant is concurrently seeking from the Planning Board, a Special Permit under Section 4 C 2d concerning Major Commercial Developements. The Planning Board has recommended favorable action on the Applicant's request before our Board. 3. For the reasons stated the Board hereby GRANTS the Applicant SPECIAL PERMIT relief pursuant to SECTION 4 C 2c (2) and SECTION 7F of the Zoning By -Law, by UNANIMOUS vote.
