M. for the consideration of old business with William Sherman, Robert Leichter, Michael O'Mara, David Leggett, and Linda Williams sitting. Application 060 -89: Robert & Gayle Greenhill, Hoicks Hollow Road The hearing was continued to permit the Planning Board time to clarify its concerns about this application. The Planning Board's response was to specify the following areas as potential problems: Was the access adequate to support the proposed development; Was an employer dormitory possible when there were already two dwellings on the lot; Did "employer dormitories" include housing for personal domestic employees. Attorney Philbrick, for the Applicant, stated that the proposed dormitory was integral to the existing compound, that there was no kitchen in the dormitory, and that the isolated location of the property meant that the employees would need cars to come and go from work unless housing was provided on site. Williams pointed out that the dormitory did not fit the usual concept of a "dwelling" in that it had no kitchen. Ms. Linda Holland, of the Nantucket Land Council, Inc., spoke in opposition to the allowance of the application on the basis that the use was not specifically permitted for the area, and that unless specifically permitted, the use should be prohibited. Sherman stated that such a use was permitted by special permit, which is what the applicant was seeking. O'Mara stated that the site was well over the zoning requirements for the area, would be impractical to develop intensively, and that the access road was well - defined, but of limited width. Leggett moved the permit be granted as requested, and the motion was approved unanimously. jju 10 jvlt 4464 lu,
