A continuation of a Public Hearing initially commencing on Friday July 6, 1984 was held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 1984 in the Town and County Building, Federal and Broad Streets,. Nan- tucket, pursuant to 48 hour notice. Present were: Lydle L. Rickard, Chairman, Andrew J. Leddy, Jr., Eileen Cahoon, Regular Members, and Linda Williams, Alternate Member. The Chairman opened the meeting and introduced the members of the Board. The meeting was reconveened to give council for A. Preston Manchester an opportunity to present his case as they were not present at the July 6th meeting and could not be present due to prior court commitments, at the next regularly schedualed meeting for July 13, 1984. Members Rickard, Cahoon and Leddy sat on this case, with Ms. Williams' taking the notes. This was an application for MARY GLOWACKI ON BEHALF OF A. PRESTON MANCHESTER (051 -84) seeking a Special Permit under Section 6(F) (8) of the Zoning By -Law. The Applicant wished to construct and maintain a dormitory -type housing unit for his employees in connection with the operation of a motel - hotel. Mr. 'Mayne Holmes represented the Applicant and explained the dormitory set up to be use] here. He also noted that the Planning Board had made it a condition for their approval of the overall motel complex that the Applicant receive a Special Permit from this Board. There were to be two single family type structures with enough room for 12(twelve) people and a manager. The Planning Board decision and reccommendation was read dated May 23, 1984. Allen Holdgate, an abutter, inspected the plans along with the Board and said he had no objections so long as some sort of supervisory personel was located in the buildings. He was assured there would be. There were no letters in the file and no one else to speak for or against this Application. In light of this a motion was made by Mr. Leddy the the Application be approved on the condi- - -- Lion - -- that - i- t-meet a-1 -1 -t e -c-e, Qi- ti- ns- i-mposed --by -- tie--- P-lann -ink Board.
