AIRPORT COMMISSION MEETING
June 2, 2014
The special meeting was called to order at 3:18 PM by Chairman Daniel W. Drake with the
following Commissioners present, Neil Planzer and Jeanette D. Topham.
Vice Chair Arthur D. Gasbarro and Andrea N. Planzer were absent.
The meeting took place in the 15t Floor meeting room at the Public Safety Facility, 4 Fairgrounds
Rd.
Airport employees present were Thomas M. Rafter, Airport Manager and Janine Torres, Office
Manager.
Pending Leases & Contracts
Mr. Rafter presented an Authorization to Proceed (ATP) to Jacobs Engineering Group for the first
phase of the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Modernization Project which covers data
collection and the design charrette for a total of $73,124.00. Mr. Rafter explained the contract for
the entire project is still under review by the FAA. However, due to the tight project completion
due to the FAA funding expiration, the parties agreed to issue the (ATP) to allow the work
covered under phase 1 to commence July 10, 2014.
Ms. Topham made a Motion to approve the Authorization to Proceed. Second by Mr. Planzer
and Passed unanimously without comment.
Having no further business, Ms. Topham made a Motion to adjourn. Second by Mr. Planzer and
Passed unanimously.
Meeting adjourned 3:21 PM.
