Upon review of the application submitted by the Applicant for the above - referenced property, it was determined by the Zoning Administrator that pursuant to Nantucket Zoning Bylaw Section 139- 33.A.(3)(a), the proposed alteration of the structure does not increase the nonconforming nature of said structure. 2. The Applicant is proposing to alter the existing structure (dwelling) by lifting the structure in its current location, constructing a full basement, and placing the structure on the new foundation. The Applicant also proposes additions to the dwelling, all of which conform to setback, ground cover, and height requirements. 3. The structure on the Locus is preexisting nonconforming with respect to height, with a calculation of 31.5 feet where a maximum of 30 feet is allowed. The structure is conforming to all other zoning requirements. 4. Therefore, because the alterations to the structure will not result in an increase in height from what currently exists and will not create any new nonconformities, as shown on the site plan prepared by Emack Surveying, LLC dated July 30, 2013 and revised on September 1, 2013, attached hereto as "Exhibit A", the proposal will not increase the nonconforming nature (height) of the structure on the Locus.
