Commissioner David Gray, Sr.
Commissioner Jeannette Topham
Absent: Commissioner Sonny Raichlen
Meeting called to order at 6:23 p.m. following an Open Session meeting for the purpose
of:
A. Review of Executive Session Minutes as listed on the meeting Agenda.
No Action. Hold for future meeting.
B. Update on Bruce King: Town Labor Counsel Jack Dolan believes that the
settlement was signed today. The Airport will need to pay his accrued
sicktvecation time.
C. To conduct strategy session in preparation for negotiations with union personnel.
Commissioner Gray recuses himself from participation due to the appearance of, or
actual, conflict of interest, and left the meeting at 6:26.
Town Labor Counsel Jack Dolan opined that Commissioner Topham may
participate in this matter.
Commission presented with the attached executed M.O.A. between the Town and
Laborers Union. Chairman Drake notes that this is the result of significant effort
on the part of the Airport Manager Rafter to reach this agreement. Manager
Rafter notes that he meets monthly with the Union as a proactive approach to
contain costs and identify potential problems.
Gasbarro: Motion to ratify the M.O.A., to be brought before the
Commission at the next open session meeting.
