AIRPORT COMMISSION MEETING
January 15, 2013
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 PM by Chairman Daniel W. Drake with the following
Commissioners present: Vice Chair Arthur D. Gasbarro and Jeanette Topham. David C. Gray,
Sr. and Sonny Raichlen were absent.
The meeting took place in the I" Floor Meeting Room at the Public Safety Facility, 4
O Fairgrounds Road. The meeting was held in conjunction with posted meetings of the Board of
Selectmen of the Town of Nantucket, the Finance Committee of the Town of Nantucket, the
Wanacomet Water Commission and the Siasconset Water Commission.
Airport staff members present were Thomas M. Rafter, Airport Manager and Ashley
Christ, Business Manager.
The Commission participated in a joint meeting with Jerry Perry, Director of Accounts and
Jared Curtis, Massachusetts Department of Revenue for an explanation of what is required
from Enterprise Funds in connection with tax rate setting and for clarification of the
Department of Revenue's regulations with respect to the budgeting of revenues. Mr. Perry
made a presentation and then responded to questions from the assembled group including
questions from Mr. Drake and Mr. Rafter.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 2:56 PM
