Hi Ben:
I am on an extended trip in China now, and unfortunately do not have access to equipment to
print /sign /scan /fax
However, the application does appear to provide for an agent to represent the owner via the footnote on the
signature page:
*If an Agent is representing the Owner or the Applicant, please provide a signed proof of agency.
Therefore, do you think you can just sign it on my behalf so we can get this process moving forward . It is
upsetting that this seemingly simple conforming project, that already received HDC approval, can get so
drastically stalled in this red -tape. Isn't there some rationale folks in HDC, ZBA, building permit that can break
this building permit free?

Zoning Board of Appeals,
We are seeking an approval for the proposed construction at 12 Washington Ave.. The property
is located on the comer of C Street and Washington Ave. The property was recently re -zoned
from R- 2/SR -2 to Village Residential (VR). The structure on the property had previous
conformed to the R- 2/SR -2 zoning regulations, in particular the 10 ft. rear and side yard setback
When the property was changed to VR and the rear and sideyard setbacks were increased to 15
ft, the structure was then encroaching on the rear property line.
We are proposing to enlarge the second floor deck by 170 s.f.. The new second floor deck is to
be construction over any existing ground level deck. The new second floor deck will not
encroach further into the rear setback beyond the existing ground level deck.
None of the proposed work further increases the non - conformity of this structure and we hope
that you can approve our proposed plan on that basis. Thank you very much and please contact
