Upon review of the application submitted by the Applicant and the building department file of the above-referenced property, it was determined by the Zoning Administrator that pursuant to Nantucket Zoning Bylaw Section 139-33.A. (3) (a) , the proposed alterations to the structure do not increase the nonconforming nature of said structure. 2 . The Applicant is proposing to construct" por`cF' doors on the northerly side of the garage. Saic "`garage is sited in the easterly side yard setback and southerly rear yard setback. Said addition will be no closer to the lot line than the existing structure and will be entirely outside all setbacks . 3. The structures on the Locus is preexisting nonconforming with respect to side and rear yard setbacks, having the main structure sited within the ----� westerly side yard setbac and the garage sited in the southerly rear yard setback and easterly side yard__ _o.-.•-_ _ setback. 4 . Therefore, because the proposed addition will be no closer to the side or rear yard setbacks than the existing structures as shown on the site plan entitled, "Renovations to Existing Cottage for: Dr. James Simone, 9 Prospect Street, Nantucket, MA 02554, " prepared by Nantucket Architecture Group, attached hereto as "Exhibit A", the proposed work will not increase the nonconforming nature of the structure on the Locus.
