Topic: Conflict Resolution/Ray Owen-pigs
Ray own was selling pigs he raised and slaughter to local restaurants and someone
called the health department on him. The rumor is that he thinks it was someone
from faraway farms.
- approach animal control/the health department and ask them if we can assist
with future issues like this/conflict resolution. Would they be willing to contact
us if this happens again?
- *Dylan has conflict resolution form from Dartmouth —send to Amy
- we could create info sheets about keeping pigs/sheep/cattle/chickens/horses
- *is there cock fighting on the island?
- *Amy to start letter to animal control/health department
Topic: Fair update
- can get a website
- Tom Never Assoc won't help with parking ($ funds the fair)
- Grange not a good match
- Boy scouts camp out
- Looking for people to do demos (wood/soap carving, knitting, scrimshaw,
canning, look, basket weaving
- Schedule created on 8/15 (in a few days!)
- Libby ok'd contacting state reps
o Incorporate issues from Ag survey
o How new farm bill effects us
Topic: Community Garden
- SN has no$/all new projects volunteer driven
- Garden doesn't have to be just for personal consumptions
- We need more of the group present to discuss
- Hold until next meeting

- town is being weird about us making copies there
- look for money through BOS
- they agreed to our work plan and communication was a part of it
