HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-2-21TOWN OF NANTUCKET BOARD OF HEALTH PUBLIC HEARING — FEBRUARY 21, 2007 — 6:00 p.m. NANTUCKET SUPERIOR COURTROOM MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Willauer, Mr. Chadwick, Mr. Kopko, Mr. Bennett and Ms. Flanagan- Stover MEMBERS ABSENT: None. Public Hearing Regarding Changes to Weights and Measures Fees HO Ray discusses the changes in the fee schedule for weights and measures and the reason that the state will take over this program. Chairman Willauer asks if we are paying a fixed amount. HO Ray informs BOH that the state will bill the town for the inspections, and the town will, in turn, bill the individual businesses. Ms. Flanagan- Stover asks what a leather measure is. HO Ray explains leather measure and informs the BOH that there are many categories on the new fee schedule which the town is not certified for, but if needed the state can certify. Chairman Willauer asks for additional comments /questions. None noted. BOH unanimously approves the new Weights and Measures Fee Schedule effective March 21, 2007.
