HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-2-8BOARD OF HEALTH TOWN OF NANTUCKET PUBLIC HEARING — FEBRUARY 8, 2006 NANTUCKET SUPERIOR COURTROOM MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Chadwick, Mr. Watts, Mr. Willauer and Mr. Bennett MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Glowacki Meeting called to order at 7:15 p.m. �1 Mr. Chadwick asks for public questions /comments. None noted. AGENDA Variance Request 1. 24 Tennessee Ave — HO Ray recommends approval of variance for this septic' system using IA technology with a maintenance agreement in place for the life of the system. BOH grants variance request unanimously. Public Hearing — Madaket Harbor Watershed Regulation 69.00 HO Ray gives an overview of Regulation 69.00 and states that the BOH will receive testimony on septic inspections regulations only and at a later date will discuss groundwater regulations. The BOH requests a separate public meeting be scheduled for private concerns and public interest. HO Ray asks that Madaket Harbor Watershed Regulation 69.00 be changed to Regulation 53.00 for numerical reasons only. Mr. Chadwick asks for questions /comments from the BOH. None noted. Mr. Chadwick asks for questions /comments from the public. HO Ray requests a pass /fail standards review meeting on March 6 or March 8, 2006; a meeting to discuss the 6' separation issues in early April; and adoption of the Madaket Harbor Watershed Regulations on April 12, 2006. A public meeting will be scheduled at a future date to discuss the 6' separation. Mr. Chadwick closes the Public Hearing on Regulation 53.00. Proposal by Carl Jelleme of Toscana Corp. to build a transfer station put in front of the BOH for discussion.
