None noted. AGENDA Minutes of November 9, 2005 approved unanimously. Variance Requests 1. 100 Low Beach Rd. —a replacement of aseptic system meeting maximum feasible compliance. HO Ray recommends approval of this variance. Variance request is approved unanimously. Report on Se tic System Inspections As of this date, HO Ray discusses 178 systems in the Nantucket Harbor Watershed have been inspected, 169 have either passed inspection criteria or are systems installed or repaired within the last three years, 9 systems have failed and are contracted for repair /replacement within the following months. The low (5 %) failure rate is attributed to owners being told upon cursory inspections that their system would fail and then making application for a new septic system. Adding in these new systems (initial failures), would bring us to a more realistic failure rate of 28 %. There are roughly 300 more systems to inspect. Zone A has until April 1, 2007 and Zone B has until October 1, 2007. HO Ray expects the failure rate to increase as we move into the Pocomo and Wauwinet Rd. areas. Madaket Advisory Committee On December 29, 2005 at 4:00 p.m., the Health Department and the Conservation Commission liaison will be meeting with the Madaket Advisory Committee at the Admiralty Club. The community is invited to attend to discuss the next phase of the septic management plan relative to the Madaket Harbor Protection District. Chairman Glowacki asks for public questions /concerns.
