HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-11-9BOARD OF HEALTH TOWN OF NANTUCKET MINUTES — NOVEMBER 9, 2005 NANTUCKET SUPERIOR COURTROOM MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Glowacki, Mr. Watts, Mr. Willauer, Mr. Chadwick and Mr. Bennett MEMBERS ABSENT: None -J Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Chairman Glowacki asks for public comment. None noted. AGENDA Minutes of September 14, September 15 and October 12, 2005 approved unanimously. Variance Requests 1. 16 Tennessee Ave. — this is a resubmittal of a variance originally denied due to an additional structure on the property which contained a bathroom. Plumbing permits were obtained to remove the bathroom thus returning the structure to a non - bedroom status. HO Ray recommends approval of the variance with the stipulation on verification of the bathroom removal and having a signed maintenance contract in place and maintained for the life of the septic system. Variance request approved unanimously. 2. 4 Pond Rd. — This is a small lot with an existing structure in need of a septic repair of the leach facility. HO Ray recommends approval for replacing the leach pit with a leach pit due to lot size constraints. Variance request approved unanimously. Update on Harbor Watershed Inspections HO Ray gives a brief update of inspections done since 1111105 —171 systems have been inspected and 371 systems have not yet been inspected. HO Ray also notes that a letter to be sent out to all within the district is currently being reviewed at town counsel. The letter spells out the time frame required for the inspections and the penalties associated with failure to get a property inspected. BOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES — NOVEMBER 9, 2005 Lyme Disease/February Deer Hunt Proposed resolution discussed by Whitey Willauer in favor of additional week of deer hunt in late January or early February. Chairman Glowacki asks for public comment on deer hunt. Chairman Glowacki adjourns BOH meeting at approximately 7:50 p.m. 2
