MINUTES — September 14, 2005
NANTUCKET SUPERIOR COURTROOM
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Glowacki, Mr. Watts, Mr. Chadwick, Mr. Willauer
and Mr. Bennett
MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Chairman Glowacki asks for public comment/concerns. None noted.
AGENDA
Minutes of August 3, 2005 approved unanimously.
1. Variance request withdrawn (The Ropewalk).
2. Septic Management Plan Review
HO Ray discusses history, substance and future direction of Nantucket's Septic
Management Plan, and discusses timeline and the fact that we are still awaiting some
DEP actions on a few aspects of the plan. HO Ray gives an overview of BOH
regulations for on -site septic designs and recommends using the Nantucket Harbor
Watershed Regulations as a template for Madaket and other areas of concern.
BOH will participate in public hearings and will attend local community association
meetings.
Chairman Glowacki asks for questions /concerns from the public.
1. What are funding options available?
2. Support of new regulations by Nantucket Community Assoc.
3. Questions about the estuaries project timeline.
4. Town's readiness for hurricane preparedness. (Mr. Bennett)
5. Number of mosquito complaints? (Mr. Willauer, DPW discusses)
Chairman Glowacki adjourns meeting at approximately 7:25 p.m.
