HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-1-5BOARD OF HEALTH TOWN OF NANTUCKET MINUTES — JANUARY 5, 2005 MEMBERS PRESENT: CHAIRMAN SOVERINO, MR. WATTS, MR. BENNETT, and MR. GLOWACKI MEMBERS ABSENT: MR. MURPHY Meeting called to order at approximately 7:00 p.m. J CONCERNS FROM THE PUBLIC tJ None noted. Approval of Minutes for December 1, 2004. Mr. Glowacki: Defer action on Minutes so that Minutes can be presented in Parliamentary text. Motion to defer action carries unanimously. NEW BUSINESS 1. Variance request for 270 Madaket Rd. HO Ray recommends granting variance with the stipulation that the structure must be limited to a three bedroom house; must utilize an alternative design system, and a maintenance contract must be signed to assure appropriate function of system. Motion to grant variance carries unanimously. 2. Variance request for 58 Hummock Pond Rd. HO Ray recommends granting variance on repair of the failed system with the stipulation that when the sewer line becomes available, the owner will have 12 months to hook into sewer and discontinue septic use. Motion to grant variance with stipulation carries unanimously. 3. Request from Richard O'Neill for town letter /sponsorship to attend soil evaluator school. HO Ray does not support the need for a fourth town employee licensed to do soil evaluations. BOH Minutes — January 5, 2005 Motion to appoint Richard O'Neill an agent of The Board of Health carries unanimously. Other Concerns for the Board of Health HO Ray requests appropriate numbering of house (particularly on groups /clusters of houses) to expedite Health and Building Department inspections. Mr. Bennett makes a motion to adjourn. Mr. Watts seconds motion. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m. 2
