TECHNICAL AMENDMENT:
1. At a public hearing of the Nantucket Zoning Board of
Appeals, on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 1:00 P.M., at 4
Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket, Massachusetts, the Board made the
following decision on the application of MATTHEW SANFORD AND
CECIL LYON SANFORD, C/O Butters Brazilian, LLP, 1 Exeter Plaza,
Boston, MA 02116, File No. 051 -11:
2. The Applicant is requesting the Board amend the existing
ZBA decision (ZBA Decision No. 051 -11) in order to substitute
the revised site plan after said plans were modified at the
Historic District Commission ( "HDC ") . The original approved
plan had a total of 459 square feet of ground cover added to the
existing structure which was comprised of the porch which was
glassed in (235 square feet) and the addition of the rear ell
(224 square feet). Under the modified plan, the glass has been
eliminated from the porch and the rear ell has 441 square feet
of added ground cover as opposed to the previous 224 square
feet, as shown on the revised plan.
3. Accordingly, the Board of Appeals, by unanimous vote of the
sitting members, found that the proposed alteration is a
technical amendment and voted to amend the decision as follows:
a. There shall be no exterior construction between May
15th and September 15th of any year;
b. The proposed addition shall be 441 square feet and
all work shall be done in substantial conformance as
shown on the attached "Exhibit A "; and,

c. All work shall be done outside of the setbacks on the
Locus.
