Nantucket Memorial Airport Commission Executive Session — October 11, 2011
The meeting took place at Town of Nantucket's Community Meeting Room, First Floor,
4 Fairgrounds Rd, Nantucket.
Present:

Commissioner Carl England
Commissioner David Gray
Selectmen Chairman Rick Atherton
Meeting called to order at 6:50 p.m. following an Open Session meeting, to conduct = ,
strategy session in preparation for contract negotiations with the airport manager.
The following is a summary of topics and actions; it is not intended to be a transcript.
Egan: Spoke with Dolan. Peterson stated that he needed more time to consider the offer.
Drake: Spent two -hours touring the Airport with Peterson today. Concerned that the AG
has not been in direct contact with the Airport Management or Commission. Peterson
intended to retire at the end of the purported contract life.
Egan /Gray /England: All support hiring an Assistant Manager.
Gasbarro: Issuance of the purported contract is an enormous violation of the Public
Trust. The Commission needs to act to rectify the situation.
Drake: Must act quickly, no matter the resolution. What is the strategy if the Manager
refuses offer?
Gasbarro /Gray: Manager should immediately be placed on paid Administrative Leave.
