Gray, Sr. AIRPORT COMMISSION MEETING ==, September 15, 2011 !~ The meeting was called to order at 4:58 PM by Chairman E. Foley Vaughan with the following Commissioners preset: Carl D. England, Jr. Arthur Gasbarro, and David C. Gray, Sr. -' Also present were Airport Manager AI Peterson, Airfield Supervisor Jeff Marks, Finance Director Tina Smith, Admiriis~rative Assistant to the Airport Manager Janine Torres, and Administrative Coordinator Yolanda Taylor. The Meeting took place in the SRE Building at 13 New South Rd. Chairman Vaughan announced the meeting was being recorded. Chairman's Report on meeting with Attorney General's Office Chairman Vaughan thanked the Attorney General, Board of Selectman, Town Counsel, and the Inquirer & Mirror. Chairman Vaughan stated he was embarrassed by the situation; however feels this is a good opportunity to make things right. The Airport Commission intends to cooperate fully with the Attorney General's Office to its fullest extent to correct the mistakes in the past and in going forward to make sure all the proper steps are taken regarding procurements, contracts, ect. The Commission is a policy setting board and is ultimately responsible for any missteps made; but, if errors were made, they were not intentional. With Vice Chair Egan presently out of town, the Commission will fully discuss the Attorney General matters at the Commission Meeting scheduled for September 27~h. Commissioner's Comments Commissioner England stated overall, Mr. Peterson has done an exceptional job managing the Airport; however, mr. Peterson has, on some occasions, chosen to expedite over procurement process and from this time going forward will be consolidating procurement through Diane O'Neil. Public Comment Dennis Egan stated his displeasure with Mr. Peterson and with the Commission and feels it is time for some of the Commission members to step down. Rick Atherton stated he would encourage the Airport Commission to hold the Commission meeting at the Public Safety Facility. Commissioner Gasbarro stated he has spoken to the Town Administration office and has worked out a proposed meeting schedule for the Commission to meet at the Public Safety Facility for the Commissions consideration.Commissioner Gray would also like to move the meeting to the Public Safety Facility. Commissioner Gasbarro asked if the credit cards would be turned in and if the Accent contract would be a future agenda item Mr. Peterson responded the credit cards will be turned in tomorrow and the Accent contract will be on the September 27, 2011 agenda.
