DECISION:
At a meeting of the BOARD JF APPEALS held
on Friday, January 7, 1983, in the Town
an3 County Building, in the natter of the
application of CRANBERRI' CONSTRUCTIOid CO.
(041-82), the BOARD finds:
1. This is an application for a variance from Sec',;ion 6E' of
the Zoning By-Law in order to construct two residential dwellings on
Union Street.
2. Based on review of tre application, supporting documents,
testimony at Public :-searing arm a site view of the locus, tha BOARD
finds that the applicant has failed to establish specific circumstances
affecting the subject building site but not affecting generally the
RESIDEN'PIAL~OL') HIS`TORiC DISTRICT to show that literal enforcement of
Section 6E would cause it a substantial hardship. Specifically, the
Board finds that thirty foot high dwellings could be constructed in
conformity with the historic character of the :Jnion Street neighborhood.
3. For the reasons set forth, the BOARJ hereby DESdIES the
applicant a variance from SECTIOrr 6~, (height restr?_c::.cr.,s} of the
coning By-Law, by unanimous vote.
