NOTICE
A Public Hearing of the BOARD OF APPEALS will be
held on FRIDAY, December 17, 1982 at 3:00 p. m., in the
TOWN AND COUNTY BUILDING, Federal and Broad Streets,
Nantucket, on the application of THE MAD HATTER, INC.
(Ow0-82) seeking relief from the provisions of SECTIONS
7-I and 6-8-4 (Parking Requirements) of the Zoning
By-Law in order to expand and alter a pre-existing,
non-conforming restaurant use by additional second floor
restaurant seating for 52 patrons. Property is located
at EASTON STREET and is zoned LIMITED COMMERCIAL.

Reason for asking relief: Petitioners wish to expand their restaurant by
adding dining area on the second (2nd) floor for an additional fifty-two (52)
seats and, as their restaurant is apre-existing, non-conforming use, it is
necessary, pursuant to Section 7 I1 of the Nantucket Zoning By-law, to obtain
a special Permit. In addition, petitioners also need a Special Permit granting
