Dale, Chairman NANTUCKET BOARD OI' AYPEAL.S BOARD OF APPEALS Nantucket, Massachusetts DECISION: At a meeting of the BOARD OF APPEALS held on Friday, January 7, 1983, in the Town and County Building, in the matter of the application of VERITY B. CHISOLM (034-82), the BOARD finds: 1. This is an application for a variance from Section 5.3 of the Zoning By-Law in order to construct a car port on the applicant's property situate on Magnolia Avenue, Siasconset. 2. Based on review of the application, supporting documents, photographs and testimony at Public Hearing, the BOARD finds that the applicant has failed to establish specific circumstances relating to her property which do not affect generally RESIDENTIAL/OLD HISTORIC DISTRICT which would cause literal enforcement of Section 5.3 of the By-Law to create a substantial hardship for the applicant, that the applicant has space for off-street parking at the subject premises, and that the denial of the requested relief will not necessarily diminish the value of this property to a substantial degree. 3. For the reasons set forth, the BOARD hereby DENIES the applicant a variance from Section 5.3 of the Zoning By-Law, by unanimous vote. BOARD OF APPEALS Dated: Nantucket, Mass.
