Decision:
At a meeting of the Board of Appeals held F'ridav, December 18, 1981,
at 3:00 P.M., in the Town and County Building, in the matter of the
application of CE~SLEY W. arra CAROLINE F. CORKCIM (043-81) , after
due deliberation, the Board found:
1. This is an application for a Special Permit for the construc-
tion and operation of a wind generator off Polpis Road (also
]mown as Tawtemeo Way), a district zoned RFSIDFNTIAIrl. The taa~er
has been constructed acid the generator has been in operation; the
neighborhood is basically residential surrounded by open lama.
2. The present Zoning By-Law contains only one provision relating
to this type of structure, providing for a Special Permit for
canmercial windmills in SECTICL~I 6F. This By-Law has no prohibition'
upon wind mills for private use, ar~d the Board can find no provi-
sion in the By-Law which would prevent this construction or operation
at the present time.
3. The general prohibition contained in SF,CTION 6D prohibits any
use of a structure which is injurious, obnoxious, offensive,
dangergous, or a nuisance to the camn~nity or neighborhood through
noise, vibration, etc. The Board has received no objections from
the abutters, the Planning Board has voted favorable action, and
the Board finds that the present operation is not prohibited under
SECTION 6D.
4. For the reasons set forth, the application for a Special Permit.

Road is granted by unanimous vote.
